CLEANPURE is a kind of flocculants that has both organic and inorganic characteristics of flocculants. It is made of organic cross-linked polyglutamic acid and inorganic substances like calcium compounds. Compared to other flocculants, it has multi-functional effects, so it can be used for purification of various types of contaminated and waste water.

What is flocculant?
Flocculant is a kind of medicine used to flocculate minute particles that cause filthiness dispersed in water and, to facilitate settling or floating of flocculated particles. The aggregate of minute particles is called floc. Clear water can be obtained by separating water from solid flocs.
In filthy water, large number of minute particles floats dispersedly.The small particles always remain dispersed because they are charged negaively and they repulse each oyher. |

CLEANPURE is added to water, flocs are formed for its two functions.
Turbidity of water gets improved when contaminated particles from flocs and the flocs settle in the bottom or float onthe top of water.

High Purity and High Quality Polyglutamic Acid |
|
Polyglutamic acid (PGA) is a natural polymer polymerized linearly from glutamic acid, a kind of amino acid, which is known as a main adhesive component of natto (Japanese fermented soybeans). It is synthesized Bacillus such as Bacillus subtilis.
Using the newest technology, we scored success in mass production of high-quality pure polyglutamic acid. We have 3 types of polyglutamic acid; low molecular weight, high molecular weight and cross-linked PGA. The capabilities of this substance are nearly limitless, that is why it attracts big interest in various industries. |
Polyglutamic Acid :
Glutamic acid has 2 carboxyl groups.One of them, γ-carboxyl group is linked with α-amino group and PGA is formed.

Cross-linked Polyglutamic Acid :
Cross-linked polyglutamic acid consists of mesh structure of tens of millions by molecular weight. Compared to PGA, cross-linked PGA has higher water absorption capability.

Properties :
Water retentivity
It allows absorbing and binding water approx. 5000 times greater than its own weight. The higher the molecular weight, the higher the water retentivity.
Hydrophilicity
The lower the molecular weight, the higher soluble in water.
Viscosity
It can be used to adjust property and condition of a product. The higher the molecular weight, the higher the viscosity.
Biodegradability
It can be degraded by microorganisms into water and carbon dioxide. Polyglutamic acid is eco-friendly.
In addition, it has sustained release, electric conduction properties and other various properties.
